KPM Annual Conferences
The Kolbe Prison Ministries holds annual conferences at various locations where the ministry is active. To date, these annual conferences have been held only in the state of Texas but expansion of these conferences to other states is likely to happen down the road. The conferences are free and open to any adult who has been involved in prison ministry or is interested in learning more about the ministry. The one-day conferences are held on a Saturday and typically run from about 8:30 am to around 4:30 pm followed by Mass at a local church. Refreshments and snacks are served in the morning and a free meal is provided during noon-hour break.
The conference agenda most often includes 5-6 talks by a variety of individuals, including bishops, priests, deacons, educators, prison ministry leaders, political leaders and family members of offenders. Talks are also presented by a handful of ex-offenders whose lives were greatly and positively impacts by Kolbe Prison Ministries. A Q&A session or panel discussion is also often included.
Lodging arrangements are often made with a local hotel for reserving blocks of rooms for out-of-town attendees at a discounts nightly rate.
We hope you will be able to join us for our annual conferences to gain a better understanding about prison ministry, to meet and network with Kolbe leaders and others, and to get to know about the lives of ex-offenders who have returned to the ‘free world’ as positive, contributing members of society.
