Our Mission

“It is the mission of the Kolbe Prison Ministry (KPM) to share the agape love of Jesus Christ with those in prison and to teach the fullness of the truth of the Catholic Church to the incarcerated.”

Or in a nutshell… Our mission is to bring Christ to the prisons.”

In the Gospel of Matthew 25:36, Jesus tells his followers and the world the importance of helping others when he stated “I was in prison and you visited me.” God expects us to be merciful and perform works of mercy. Above all, our incarcerated brother and sisters need to know that God loves them. And the most tangible, direct way they can experience God’s love is through ministries like KPM that reach out to prisoners, especially those seeking to grow their faith and change their lives.
